All Labour Offices in Bulgaria Provide Information on ICT Courses within eSkills for Jobs 2015-2016 Initiative
The partnership between the Employment Agency and the initiative, whose contractor for Bulgaria is BAIT, aims to reduce unemployment among young people who don’t have degree in ICT and to direct their interest in a career in ICT industry
All labour offices throughout Bulgaria have been included in the campaign eSkills for Jobs 2015-2016 and will provide information about all current trainings and courses in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), conducted by the leading companies in the sector. This became possible thanks to the good partnership between the Bulgarian Employment Agency and the Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies (BAIT) within the EC initiative eSkills for Jobs.
The labour offices experts will inform registered unemployed persons about opportunities for involvement in ICT training and job vacancies in the sector in the process of individual counseling. The aim is that unemployed young people with qualifications different from ICT to be able to retrain or gain some more knowledge to improve their #eSkills and have a better chance of finding work. There is substantial proportion young graduates in humanities, which have no available jobs and are registered as unemployed at the moment.
The majority of the courses and seminars are free and some of them provide an opportunity for job/ internship for the best performers. There are trainings, designed for absolute beginners in the ICT field, and there are others which require a minimum set of ICT knowledge. The current list includes educational initiatives of 24 companies, as information is updated continuously.
The platform has a special section for vacancies in the ICT sector, which is also regularly updated.
"eSkills for jobs 2015-2016" campaign has been launched in response to the growing demand for specialists in the field of ICT which are not currently sufficient, despite the high level of unemployment in Europe. The initiative takes place simultaneously in 21 European countries and aims to raise citizens' awareness of the need to improve their e-skills necessary for finding employment.
