Acronis trained 80 students in Sofia on how to stay safe online through a practical cybersecurity workshop
Sofia, Bulgaria – 3 June 2025 — Acronis, a global leader in cybersecurity and data protection, is reinforcing its commitment to digital education by delivering cyber safety training to schoolchildren across Bulgaria through the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program.
As part of this initiative, Acronis Chief Development Officer Nick Grebennikov led an engaging tech talk and cyber safety lesson for more than 80 teenages at the 2nd High School “Acad. Emiliyan Stanev” in Sofia. Organized in partnership with Telerik Academy School and EduHub, the session combined practical advice on cybersecurity with inspiring career insights from one of the industry’s top technology leaders.
During the interactive class, students learned how to recognize common online threats, such as phishing scams and data breaches, and how to apply safe digital practices in their everyday lives. Nick Grebennikov also shared his personal journey — from writing his first lines of code at age 12 to leading global innovation at Acronis — encouraging students to explore the world of technology with curiosity and confidence.
“At Acronis, we believe cybersecurity education should start early — not just to protect the next generation, but to empower it. Over the past two years, our employees have delivered over 75 cyber safety sessions to students around the world. I joined this effort to help kids understand online risks, explore AI, and get a glimpse into the world of software development. Together, we’re building a safer, smarter digital future.” – said Nick Grebennikov, Chief Development Officer at Acronis.
The event in Bulgaria reflects Acronis’ wider mission to empower future generations through digital literacy and protection. In 2024, the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program delivered training to more than 4,000 young learners — helping children develop critical thinking and responsible online habits.
By combining cyber protection expertise with educational outreach, Acronis aims to build a digitally resilient future for all.
