On March 17, a meeting was held between BAIT and IT Park Uzbekistan. On behalf of BAIT, Pencho Iliev, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Foreign Markets Department, and Executive Director Vessela Kalacheva took part.
The state structure IT Park Uzbekistan was presented by Fayzulla Ulmasov, Head of the Marketing Team for Europe.
Ulmasov introduced the structure’s activities to BAIT and provided key facts about his country. With a population of 37.5 million, Uzbekistan has 84 ICT faculties, with 25,000 students graduating from these majors annually.
Since 2017, the state has renovated its infrastructure and made changes to its tax policy in order to attract international companies.
Currently, the main focus of the IT park is mainly on outsourcing, but cooperation with companies with their own product is not excluded if our companies are interested. BAIT and the IT Park will cooperate to be contact points in the respective countries if there is an interest from companies.
