Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov bestowed the annual prize for innovative company on Orak Engineering
February 24, 2009, Sofia: Orak Engineering, a member of BAIT, obtained the prize for innovative enterprise of the year. Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov bestowed the annual prize in the presence of official representatives of the European Commission, The World Bank and the Bulgarian government.
The prize is a reward for the innovative software platform ORAK R5, which has been spread in all Balkan states for 3 years now, and also, since last year, in the USA, Russia and the Middle East. The platform offers solutions for trading, tourist and production companies by concentrating the information and business processes and by providing flexible surroundings for optimizing the activity local and global companies.
Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Plugtschieva, the official representative of the government at the forum, congratulated in person Krasimir Stoyanov, manager of ORAK Engineering. Mrs. Plugtschieva said: ‘I am happy that it is a company from the IT sector of all that has been awarded this year’s prize for innovative enterprise. In the conditions of world and financial economy crisis, we trust this branch to preserve the impulse of the innovative development of the Bulgarian business.’
