Registration for BAIT Awards 2015 Has Started From Today

The campaign and the awards ceremony will be held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev

From today, October 1st, 2015, the registration for BAIT Awards 2015 competition for contribution to the development of information and communication technologies.

The registration will be open until 12.00 AM on 12 January 2016. including at http://bait-awards.bg/pages/Registration/ .

Registration is free and the competition is open to all companies from the Bulgarian ICT industry.

After extremely successful four editions of the competition, this edition of the awards will be held within the campaign e-Skills for Jobs 2015-2016. The initiative is implemented simultaneously in 21 EU countries, and BAIT is the contractor for Bulgaria.

The campaign aims to raise citizens’ awareness of the need to improve their e-skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) needed to find a job. “eSkills for Jobs 2015-2016” is in response to growing demand for ICT professionals who are not currently sufficient, despite the high level of unemployment in Europe.

This BAIT Awards fifth edition will determine the winners of 12 awards in the following categories: Education Award, Journalist Award /print media, radio and TV, internet publications, bloggers/ Student Award, Public administration Award /state and municipal/ Business Innovation Award, Corporate Social Responsibility Award, STARTUP Company Award, E-business Award, Mobile Solutions Award, Software Entertainment Award and the Special Award for significant contributions.

And in this edition of the competition, there will be cash prizes together with the statuettes and diplomas for all categories. They are in the form of vouchers with which the winners will have the opportunity to purchase goods or services from BAIT member-companies.

Editions of the competition in 2012, 2013 and 2014 were held under the patronage of the Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and at the 2014 ceremony the Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva, the Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarski, the Deputy Minister of Information Technology Valery Borisov and the Deputy Minister of Education Professor Kostadin Kostadinov were among the special guests. Through this project BAIT would like to pay tribute to all individuals, institutions and companies that with their professionalism, innovation and active citizenship have contributed in 2015 to the development of information and communication technologies.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony in early February 2016.
