Methodia is a leading software development company, offering technology and business solutions to energy and utility suppliers. The company’s portfolio includes digital products for automation, optimization, and management of complex operational activities of electricity, gas, water, heating, and other utility services retail. Believing that collaboration between universities and businesses is the key to successfully applying theoretical knowledge in practice, Methodia creates its educational initiative Exceedia, with a primary focus on training academies and events.
In March, Methodia launched two initiatives that involve young talents in the IT sector. The first one is the technological hackathon ‘M-Codelab’. The challenge that participants face in this year’s competition is again related to environmental protection and technologies, namely – the ‘Green Planet Challenge‘. Following the success of the first hackathon edition with the topic “Smart technologies for cleaning and preserving the marine ecosystem,” which was held on the premises and in collaboration with TU-Varna, this year’s event will be entirely online, allowing more participants to engage with their creative solutions. Under the guidance of experienced mentors from the technology industry, they will have one month to develop innovative solutions related to climate change and reducing negative impact on the environment. With a focus on ecological innovations, this event promises to inspire the next generation of leaders in sustainable technologies.
In March 2024, for another year, the Java Training Academy also started. In the Java Training Academy, participants will engage in free intensive, practical training in small groups. From mastering the technical aspects to developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, Methodia’s Academy offers a comprehensive learning experience tailored to the real needs of the business. Throughout the training course, participants will receive support from experienced mentors from the company, gaining confidence that they are well-prepared to begin their successful professional development. Upon completion of the Academy and passing the final exam, the top performers will be offered an internship position within the company.
